the first post is always the most daunting.
I’m metaphorically ripping off the bandaid here, my friends, by reflecting on memes.
memes and I crossed paths once a few years ago when i first became aware of them. with a recent interest with a certain blog called HRO, memes and i have started a new relationship. one of understanding the operation of our culture. the internet culture, gen Y, gen C, gen _______, american sub cultures, defining personal identities.
memes have always been with us. they have defined and created culture. the only difference is that now we are aware of them and the mediums in which they live and die help us view them more apparently . the internet; car bumper stickers; blogs. also i believe we are in a high turn-over rate of memes and even marketing/advertising understands and uses memes as a tool to tap into society.
